Congratulations to the students who participated in the CT History Day contest, Saturday, March 16th.  They worked very hard for several months to research their projects.  The goal of this event is for students to learn about how history impacts our past and our present.  It is our hope that students will become strong and thoughtful leaders as they make decisions that impact the future. 

The students whose projects placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd are eligible to advance to the State Competition on May 4th at Central Connecticut University!  We wish them the best of luck!

Felicidades a los estudiantes que participaron en la competencia del Día de la Historia de CT, el sábado, 16 de marzo. Ellos trabajaron muy duro por varios meses para investigar sobre sus proyectos. La meta de este evento es que los estudiantes aprendan sobre cómo la historia impacta nuestro pasado y presente. Es nuestra esperanza que los estudiantes se conviertan en líderes fuertes y reflexivos mientras toman decisiones que impactan su futuro.
Los estudiantes cuyos proyectos obtuvieron el 1er, 2do o 3er lugar ¡son elegibles para avanzar a la Competencia del Estado el 4 de mayo en Central Connecticut University! ¡Les deseamos la mejor de las suerte!

The THS Boys’ Basketball Team had a phenomenal season this year!  I want to applaud the dedication and hard work of our students and Head Coach Eric Gamari, Assistant Coaches Gary Robinson, Angelo Calabrese and Derrick Brockamer and Volunteer Coach, Mike Dallis.  Staff have repeatedly commented on their exemplary character, willingness to work as a team and accept all challenges.  We are incredibly proud of the team and the coaches and the positive recognition they bring to our Torrington community!

¡El Equipo de Baloncesto de Varones de THS tuvo una temporada fenomenal este año! Quiero aplaudir la dedicación y el trabajo duro de nuestros estudiantes y del Entrenador Principal Eric Gamari, de los Asistentes del Entrenador Gary Robinson, Angelo Calabrese y Derrick Brockamer y del Entrenador Voluntario, Mike Dallis.
